Loreena's first full-length live recording is a two-CD set recorded on "The Book Of Secrets" tour in 1998. This release, whose proceeds will go to the charitable fund The Cook-Rees Memorial Fund For Water Search And Safety, was originally available exclusively from Quinlan Road. However, beginning September 27, 1999 (September 28 in North America) this recording will also be available in record stores around the world.
Live In Paris And Toronto includes 17 tracks and over 100 minutes of music. It was recorded at the Salle Pleyel in Paris and Massey Hall in Toronto in April and May of 1998. Produced by Loreena McKennitt, it was recorded by Jeff Wolpert and mixed by Stuart Bruce.
The Quinlan Road mail order version of this live recording is packaged in a deluxe, custom made Herzog & Idex book-bound sleeve, and this version will continue to be available via Quinlan Road mail order even after the record's release to conventional retail in September.
The retail version of "Live In Paris And Toronto" which will be sold via regular record stores will be identical to the mail-order version in every regard with the exception of minor packaging changes: the "retail" version will be packaged in a conventional jewel case with an embossed outer slipcase. The music contained therein, however, will not change. |
